What happens on a 30-yard penalty in polo?
A 30-yard penalty (Penalty 2) is taken by the fouled team from the middle of the 30-yard line nearest the offending team's goal, unless that team chooses the spot option instead. It is undefended: the opponents begin beyond their back line and outside the goal, and may not enter the field of play once play begins.
Applies to: outdoor polo.
Any member of the fouled team may take the hit.
Don't confuse it with Penalty 3, which is a 40-yard hit.
