Outdoor · Penalties 1 and 7

Penalty 1. A foul near the goal that, in the Umpire's opinion, stopped a likely goal (the rulebook calls it a dangerous or deliberate foul). The call turns on where and how serious the foul is. The team fouled is awarded one goal.

The restart. Play resumes with a Penalty 5.b awarded to the fouled team and a change in direction.

Penalty 7. If a foul disables a player and the Umpire permits or orders the player's retirement, the captain of the team fouled designates the removal of a fouling-team player whose handicap is nearest above the disabled player's. The fouled team may instead provide a qualified substitute.
